i have no qualms at all with dusted writer talya cooper putting this as the only record on her year end list. as a matter of fact, i respect her all the more for it. i was thinking to myself in bed last night as i was trying to fall asleep, “wow, the vivian girls have released three LPs” and i am confident now that none of them (not even the first one, which is still a pretty solid affair on the whole) is as good as this.
